Carbon-based Nanostructured Materials Laboratory

We are interested on the chemistry and physics of carbon-based nanostructured materials potential useful for nanotechnological applications.
In general these materials include fullerenes – which are hollow caged-molecules – and carbon nanotubes – which are considered as thin cylinders of graphite.
Special attention is given on their chemical functionalization, spectroscopic characterization and microscopy visualization as well as on the study of their electronic, photophysical and optical properties towards nanotechnological applications.
