Georgia Pagona was born in Athens in 1977. She obtained her BSc on Chemistry in 2001 and her MSc degree on Organic Chemistry in the field of Isolation and Synthesis of Natural Products exhibiting Biological Activity in 2005 at the University of Crete. She joined the CNSLab group in 2005 and is currently working on the chemical functionalization and characterization of carbon nanotubes and carbon nanohorns for her PhD thesis. At present her research interests is in investigating such hybrid materials for potential application in nanotechnology, such as photovoltaics, bionsesors and/or drug delivery systems.
